Queen Syrith employs giant bats known as doombats (according to the script but unmentioned in the cartoon) as flying mounts. They are ridden by Torad's guards who are known as bat riders (again according to the script but unmentioned in the cartoon). They are dispatched to capture the escaped Kosar.
