The tyrannical Kawamung is an apparent ogre mage but in reality he is just a bogbeast metamorphosed by a magical medallion and when the medallion is removed he transforms back into his true self. Kawamung has damned up the river flowing through the bogbeasts' valley with a waterwheel to help run a factory where dwarf slaves make weapons for him. Kawamung shows no sympathy to his fellow bogbeasts as the dried-up river means that they cannot fish and will go hungry.
