Instead of going through the magic mirror to the Forest At The Edge Of The World with the other fairie dragons, queen Tasmira accidentally flies through into the amusement park.

What's just as strange is that isn't reconciled. The Queen is now alone in an even bigger and foreign world. How could they have overlooked that detail?
ReplyDeleteIt's such a massive goof it's hilarious. I like to think queen Tasmira had a last minute hankering for cotton candy and thought sod the forest.
ReplyDeleteQueen Tasmira deserves to be stranded anyway for her selfishness. She jeopardized the kids returning home because she wanted all the treasure shovelled through into the forest. What the heck do fairie dragons need gold for? They probably live in trees and eat bugs. Hardly a high maintenance lifestyle.
ReplyDeleteStrangely, minutes before this goofup, we see a brave Eric boldly charging through dozens of King Varin's men with his magical shield. You see him for only a fraction of second- what a gem of a feat!
ReplyDeleteI suspect there's fan-fiction out there that deals with queen Tasmira being stranded in the amusement park!
ReplyDeleteShe could just hide in the Dungeons & Dragons roller-coaster tunnel and wait for other passengers to be ferried into the Realm then fly through with them. People would just think she's one of the animatronics if spotted.
True, Rogull. Though I can really see her panicking, and fluttering about while muttering 'Oh, dearie!!'
ReplyDeleteThe Queen has free passage to the kids' home unmolested on the 1st try... yet the kids have failed at it 27 straight times*. Oddly tragic.
ReplyDelete*because of the need to continue the series.
Here's an oft-overlooked goof:
ReplyDeleteIn the beginning of Season 1 Intro, as the children hop into the coaster car, we see the white castle tower at the rear of the car. In the next frame and from then on, the tower icon appears only at the front.
...and in that 1st season intro- the same frame-the first frame, actually- that we see a close up of the kids in the coaster car- there is a group of kids standing behind-and an mustached adult standing behind them in a red shirt, with a mullet and goatee, in shades;
ReplyDeletethat's Stan Lee, folks!
The reason the fairy can't come back through the ride is because it was a use-once gate. Not everyone who rides it goes through, in fact, nobody else did. Otherwise we'd have hundreds of people in the magic realm from that amusement park everyday. Besides, the ride is probably closed for good because it derailed causing the death of the main characters, and now they're in hell, the Dungeon Master is the devil; look it up.
